Heavyskint - Headstone

Magnetic riffs and a super intriguing lyric opening the track, ‘Headstone’ by Heavyskint is the kind of song that sinks deep into your and unravels buried thoughts in there. The instrumentation is quite intense, with distorted guitars giving the song its dark sound, which is the emotional backbone in the instrumentation. The dynamic drum patterns give the song a brooding grounding. The alternative rock sound of the song does something that truly stands out in the current musical scene, where it doesn’t shy away from diving deep into the sentimentality and the aligning sound. There is great intensity in the lyrics as well which comes through only if you pay close attention to them. This is a brilliant track, and that is truly an understatement.

RedLight - Ten Circles

A truly unique guitar riff that immediately draws you into the track starting off the track, ‘Ten Circles’ by French indie rock band RedLight awes you with its super organic approach to the indie rock genre. The guitars in the song are lively and vibrant, giving the song a sunshine-y sound that will no doubt fix any gloom that you might be feeling. The drums are also pretty dynamic, shifting with the movement and progression of the song. What is truly impressive about the song is how it uses layers – it adds on layers to create lush textures, but without overwhelming the overall sound structure. Authentic in its sound and approach, this song is worth many, many listens.

Over Sharin - Weight On Me

Vulnerable and achingly real, ‘Weight On Me’ by Over Sharin takes you back to the rock sound of the early 2000s, when things were kept flinchingly real with music that aligned with that real-ness. The instrumentation leans towards an alt-rock and slightly grunge inspired sound, bringing in moods of melancholy and introspection. The lyrics are heavy, and hit too close to home, and make you want to stand by the window and look out into the horizon as you have images flash across your mind. The shift that comes through in the bridge section, sees both a conceptual as well as a musical shift – the song takes a hopeful turn and a brighter sound. The song might remind you of Lifehouse or The Fray owing to its musical similarities.

MäRK - Wasteland

Bringing to you a trip-hop and electro-rock sound that makes you feel like you're trapped in and trying to find your way through vast mazes, ‘Wasteland’ by MäRK gives you something that will embed itself onto your mind. The song builds through layers that sound so very emotionally grounded and potent, and draw in a mood of enigma, darkness very effectively. The sound of the song will literally have chills running down your spine. The song might remind you of Massive Attack owing to the trip-hop inclination the song has. The song might not immediately be something right up your alley, but it really has been stunningly produced and might just be your starter for an exploration for a different genre.

Music by Jeremy - No Price on Earth

Bringing to you a vibrant pop-rock sound, ‘No Price on Earth’ by Music by Jeremy is the kind of track that will get you in a superb mood for the day if you start your morning with it. The instrumentation features guitar layers that give the song a very breezy sound, and drum patterns that shift around depending upon the intensity required in sections. There is a shimmery quality to the song’s sound which makes you think of sun-lit, glittery salt waters and humid breezes ruffling your hair. The song might make you think of some of Jonas Brother's discography, owing to the breezy pop-rock sound.
