What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

I honestly have just been making dance music, collaborating with other artists, and doing a lot of radio mixes and live stream events.

How do you plan to support yourself financially long term?

I actually came back to Djing and producing music in 2019 from being gone in another project. I currently have a main job as a IT/Cybersecurity expect so I plan to juggle both for awhile.

Your latest track is 'Only If'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

I usually create music at 11pm until like 4am and finish the instrumentals and lyrics in one round. I wrote Only If about just having relationship challenges in my youth where you just want compromise and wish the other person could see the things the way you see them or meet in the middle. I usually write music about my experiences.

What are you focussing on right now?

Trying to wrap up my releases for 2022. I have 16 tracks coming out – 6 are on my Trance Remix EP called “In the Mirror” and there are a few cover songs and about 4 originals and other collabs.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

I’ve always been in IT so still in it and I make a crazy living on it so until my music can carry the paper I will be doing both.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

Never give up and never listen to anyone about your music unless it is to help you improve. There is so much negative in this world that no one opinions matter unless it helps you in your journey. You are your only obstacle in this success everything else is just added noise.

What inspires you as an artist?

I love when my fans message me or I hear my songs play in other djs sets. Ironically I do remixes of my songs because my music is a bit of a different house style and I like to get them more main stream. The best feeling is when I see all of my originals out perform the remixes. It tells me I am all good staying true to my own sound and I don’t need to conform to anyone or anything else.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I think the inequality is completely ridiculous. It is 2021 going on 2022 and female djs make up less than 5% of festivals and nightclubs/promoters. I think that is the most challenging thing in this industry and it is time for change.

How do you stay connected and up to date with the art world?

I read a lot in general and listen to podcasts and stay up to date with all the cool tech.

What are your plans for next year? Do you have any productions ready to be released?

So many things. I have a cover song that I worked on with an artist called P5YCHOh – it is Sweet dreams (are made of this) and it is in big room style. Comes out Jan 14th.
