As we journey through the song, the drums also make themselves known in their sober, slow shuffle, creating a therapeutic, and very compelling listening proposition. Born and raised in the sunny state of California, Gregory Ackerman returns with his latest single, “Brand New Life”— a story in phased guitars and hushed vocals that have a soothing, serene quality to them. The basses shine with how well they sit in the mix, and the percussion makes for a steady groove that one finds themselves bobbing their heads to before they know it; and the guitars tell a beautiful story of their own, making this a beautifully done track.
