This week's LITM Rock Picks are the ebb and flow of energy you need for the weekend with acts like Kevin Walsh, Thistle Sifter, Caldas Experiment, shy blossom and The Ruby Tears

In this edition of LITM Rock Picks, we create moods for all seasons with stellar performances by acts like Kevin Walsh, Thistle Sifter, Caldas Experiment, shy blossom and The Ruby Tears for a fun filled collection

Kevin Walsh-Not a Dry Eye in the House

Kevin Walsh recreates Meat Loaf’s extraordinary track with some amazing moments. The vocals are pitch perfect, the songs texture is retained, and Kevin Walsh establishes himself as a powerhouse of the genre. Along with his other single released, there is a lot of promise from this singer-songwriter who is ready to change the game with curated vocals and a unique kind of range. As an example, his song is going to usher in the new age of making retrospective, emotional music that conveys more than matters of trend. Listen to the single here with us!:

Thistle Sifter-The Forgotten Man

Pete Barnes brings some evocative, flowing melodies with his project Thistle Sister. The latest single The Forgotten Man delves into some alt-rock magic of the 90s, with post-rock auras wrapping the whole single. His play with silence and  sound is truly inspiring, unlike any other musicians approach. The aim of Thistle Sifter is to create melodies that retain, remain and incite more memories. This song is an epitome of that, while bringing his style to a polished, revered state of arrangement. You can indulge in his music here and follow his amazing life story to being a musician of this calibre as well:

Caldas Experiment-The Mountain

As magnanimous and breathtaking the mountain is, you can expect songs to be written about it. In this single, Caldas Experiment makes Alberto learn a different kind of emotion to explain the tales surrounding the feat of nature. It is an indie rock delight, brings some wonderful transitions as well as powerful rhythm pockets to a vibrant cascade, and is expectedly entertaining to listen to. It also creates an amazing break in rhythm for our playlist, focusing more on melody in a big way. Listen to the developments in the single being played here:

shy blossom-all i wanted

Like Australian indie pop rock outfit The Paper Kites, shy blossom focus on melodies as well. The garland like instrumental parts follow you around to create this perfect ring of audio-where the lyrics peer through. There are a lot of textures that come with great reverberation and instrumental effects, while the vocals are an honest expression of the bands true performance. It explodes with feeling, almost surfing the instrumental parts like Dolores O’ Riordan from The Cranberries would. The hard rock chorus approach is one of my favourites for this week, to make something that is memorable:

The Ruby Tears-Learn to Fly

After listening to many songs of the same name, you expect a lot from The Ruby Tears for this track. Luckily, there is a performance unlike any other on this one as well, making it a perfect closer for the week. The song features retro guitar tones, with percussions creating a memorable backdrop. John Goodfellow and Liverpool guitarist and songwriter Jeff Skellon create a flowing ocean of sound that leaves the new wave movement behind for a revelatory and entertaining song process. You can listen to the beautiful composition and soothing vocal delivery here:
