Rusty Reid - “Piece Of The Action”
Fresh off the Houston music scene, Rusty Reid is no stranger to the classic rock and roll action — and on his latest track, “Piece of the Action”, he takes this sound to a fresh new height, while incorporating a fun, upbeat sound throughout the song that leaves one head-banging in no time. As you journey through the song, you’re treated to one after the other element that leaves you in awe. Be it the superb phrasing in the guitars, or the skillfully rendered solos, everything about this track screams at you — and I mean that as a compliment. Check out the track here:
One Flew Over - “Eyes Open”
Bringing an evocative, emotive sound to the mic, singer Irene and producer Martin make up One Flew Over — and on their latest adventure, they bring us “Eyes Open” — and right from the start, this song isn’t about to take any prisoners. The vocals are introduced into the mix front and centre, while the guitars gently build the tension in the background. There’s much to appreciate about the hook, with the soaring vocals, the poised drumming, and the fluent mixing — making this track one of those few that ticks almost every box for everybody. DayEyez - “Insecurities”
A rock quartet, DayEyez brings a powerful pop rock sound to the fore — and on their latest single, “Insecurities”, they touch upon some powerful topics in their lyrics. Telling a deep, introspective story through the songwriting, the vocals are the easy standout on this track as they offer a clean delivery that doesn’t lack in energy at all. The production, especially the guitars, are nicely done, with a level of energy that really moves something in you from beginning to end. All in all, a winner of a track! Take a listen to it here:
Mary Black - “Armageddon”
A singer and songwriter from England, Mary Black paints a dystopian picture of the world in her latest track, “Armageddon”; and from the very beginning of the track, the guitars make their presence felt; with the powerful riffs and fast drumming, the energy of the track is sky high. The vocals play excellent support with their clean delivery, smart layering, and emotional punch. The culmination of the elements results in a track that’s moving, powerful, yet sobering at the same time — and this track doesn’t forget to leave a lasting impression. Check out the track here!
SORRYNOTSORRY - “Upon Arrival”
SORRYNOTSORRY is a psychedelic rock duo based out of Brooklyn — and on their latest track, “Upon Arrival”, they push the boundaries of what’s possible in psychedelic rock with their dreamy, ethereal vocals, wafting guitars, and a solid bass line that’s sure to keep your foot tapping from start to end. The vocals are soft, intimate, and produced with love; and the writing of the tracks — be it the guitars, the basses, or the drums — all play their part in making this track a one of a kind listen. There is also much to appreciate about the mix with its expansive, room-filling sound, as well as the drumming with their almost Tame Impala sound. Check out the track here!
