LITM Rock Picks Featuring Redlight and more!

This edition of LITM Rock Picks will give you a range of tracks, from Redlight and more!

Rupert Träxler - “The Journey”

Rupert Träxler is a musician whose sound is deep rooted in folk rock, Americana and blues music — and on his latest single, “The Journey”, he details a beautiful journey, propelled forward by his rich, layered guitars and the exquisite vocal presentation. The video is an added charm with its psychedelic imagery, playing in lockstep with the synth-infused rock beat, and the energy wafts gently up and down, with the production keeping up rather well. The track has a sound of polish, poise, and delight — all in all, a great listen! Take a listen to it here:

Redlight - “Hold On”

RedLight, a band formed in May 2007, is one of those bands that waft around between an electronic and a harder rock sound — drawing from their diverse influences, they bring us their latest single, “Hold On”; and right from the first second, the clean electrics grapple with your attention. There’s a fresh energy through this track, with the singing and the drumming stealing the limelight, while the guitars hold the ensemble together. With a clean, wide mix and clear basses, this song is a delight to listen to. Take it for a spin here!

Moind - “On The Loop”

Moind is a music group that blends 80s brit pop with 90s and 00s alternative and indie influences to create a sound that is distinct from others — and on their latest single, “On The Loop”, they fuse jazz elements with easy listening vocals and percussion that create a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere from the word go. The keys in the background set the atmosphere quite nicely, with the vocal presentation topping things off quite tastefully. The song has this sense of beautiful, wafting rhythm that leaves the listener mesmerized  — and we’re a fan! Take a  listen to this track here:

Dead Feather - “Red Poem”

Dead Feather is a rock outfit whose sound is based in 80s and early 90s grunge and classic rock — and bringing more funk/jazz elements to the fore, their latest single “Red Poem” represents an interesting evolution in the band’s sound; right from the spoken-esque vocals in the intro to the steady rhythm that this song eventually returns to, every second of this song is a new corner previously unturned — keeping the listener’s ears perked up, and eyes crinkled up in a smile. The brasses and the overdriven guitars make up the foundation, and do so rather well; check out this track here!

Zachary Mason - “5…4…3…2…1…”

Zachary Mason’s latest EP, “5…4…3…2…1…” blends psychedelic sonic textures with a foundational classic rock sound — and today, on the title track to the EP, we encounter a sound that alternates between classic rock and roll, and 80s pop rock — the laid-back, chilled out vocals on one hand, the guitars really inject the energy and the rhythm into this track. The basses and the guitars hold their own for the duration of the track with cool effects and clever writing, rounding this song out quite well. All in all, a winner!
