Soft Hair is the brainchild of Connan Mockasin and Sam Dust of LA Priest. By the sound of first single ‘Lying Has To Stop’, the project is more Caramel than Inji. The velvety psychedelic Prince sounds that characterise most of Mockasin’s output are in full swing here. Some freaky backing vocals and synth lines suggest Dust’s involvement and together the duo cook up a psychedelic witch’s brew. It’s the first track to be released from an eight track album the pair worked on. With both musicians being so singular, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect even better things to come.
Soft Hair's self-titled debut album will be released on October 28th.
