Ready for an electro / breakbeat body moving trip? Venture Silk is the alias of Ruslan Shyshniak, Ukrainian-born electronic music producer and sound designer currently living in the Netherlands. He released his first work in 2020, with the two track single “The Gateway”. After the debut, five more singles came along and “Another Dimension” is his fourth work to date.

There is no doubt that Venture Silk’s music sounds similar to Detroit electro and has a breakbeat energy with techno flavor. These words are not mine, but I totally agree with them. Having said that, you can easily picture what you will find in his work before a listening session. Despite the fact that his music is direct in its genesis and influence, there is a whole narrative behind the musical creation. So, when it comes to developing an idea, Venture Silk often gets inspired by sci-fi movies.
Conceptually, “Another Dimension” suggests the existence of another version of the world as you know it: shadowy, distorted by time and space, on which familiar places are askew and empty. Musically, expect some acid synths, energetic breaks, a fat bass line and a musical progression that only the great ones can achieve. Venture Silk’s aesthetic and production skills are consistent, you should definitely listen to all his previous work and keep an eye to what is coming next.
