Sandra Bouza’s voice shines bright like a diamond in her latest single “Sit By The Fire,” fluctuating between blues, rock and pop.

This 4-minute track feels like a journey through sounds and melodies as the artist invites us to, as the title suggests, sit by the fire over and over.

Starting with simple acoustic guitar chords, the song then explodes straight into your face before winding down once more. Piano chords here and there make their way to the surface among the loud instrumentals, mostly driven by the electric guitar, drums and bass. The piano provides some innocence in this chaotic ensemble of rock sounds.

The second verse and chorus pretty much develop as the first bit, except for a bridge after the second chorus, which presents a change in melody and vocals, building the climax further.

After a long high note, the song comes to almost a complete halt before diving into the third verse, once again developing like the first two and followed by the chorus. This time, the latter ends in an explosion of both leading and background vocals and electric guitars.

The famous last words, however, are not shouted out loud but rather hushed quietly, merely accompanied by some electric guitar chords that close the song, taking us to the end of this rollercoaster of genres, dynamics and harmonies.
