There’s so much to say about Barilaro and his project. Born in Venice, Italy, Leonardo Barilaro discovered the piano at the age of 6 and astronomy at 9. Later on, he became a professional pianist and an aerospace engineer. Counting four studio albums, five singles and a myriad of singles, his mantra in art and life is “Nullo Die Sine Nota”, which means “Not a day without a note”.

“Spusa de Pesse” was inspired by the upcoming book “Auf Wiedersehen Sgranphogemund – The Italian Journey of Reversed Goethe”, written by the young writer and astronomy enthusiast Asiago Wurzburg. It is a music piece with an emphasis on experimentalism, featuring the voice of Wurzburg himself. Music that places us somewhere in the 70’s, in front of a TV watching Star Trek in black and white, or maybe The Twilight Zone. Synth science fiction music, I will dare to say, with a foot on Mars and another on Isaac Asimov imaginary, one of Barilaro’s early readings. Every single day Leonardo the Space Pianist gives you a reason to get to know his music and his peculiar project, if you don’t know it yet then you don’t know what you’re missing!
