Kamil) Hey Ninni, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

Pleasure is mine! I remember my father recording songs in our living room at night after spending the whole day at work and I listened to him playing classical guitar all the time. A few years later, I was around 13 when I used to go and see my brothers who started a band and had several gigs around Italy. I have always loved sounds in general, both natural and those produced by musical instruments. All this drove me into the world of music.

How do you balance your time in the studio with other commitments such as a part-time job, family, admin?

I teach English privately in the morning and then study music in the afternoon or evening. I would like to live on music but here in Italy it is very difficult to do it.

Your latest song is 'Just the Touch of My Hands'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?

You know what, it's a song born by chance and for fun: it was Easter Monday when I got several calls from my friends asking me to join them in a park for a picnic and spend the day together. I left my house and found a huge number of cars stuck in a traffic jam. So I decided to go back home and started recording this song just using my guitar and voice like in a campfire song. Everything else was a spur-of-the-moment decision: I wanted to have fun and record these layered backing vocals and the bass with my own voice. Perhaps the most unusual thing was just doing the bass with my voice, I had never done this before.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

Stand by me!

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Maybe I would be travelling around the world, visiting wonderful places that are a stimulus for anybody 's imagination.

How do you know when a work is finished?

Well I never know for sure if a job is finished, I just let myself be driven by my inner instinct and feelings and I often ask my friends for valuable advice on it.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

I really enjoy reading, especially psychology books and I also love watching TV series and movies.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

As I mentioned before, I am fascinated by sounds in general whether they come from instruments, voices or the environment that surrounds us. For example, I love the sound of sea waves because it makes me feel relaxed and at peace with the world.

Who is your favourite musician?

I love Thom Yorke, Sir Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Jacob Collier, the Italian composer Nicola Piovani, Sergej Rachmaninov, Motorhead, Nine Inch Nails, Miles Davis and many, many others.

What are your plans for the future?

I'm working on new songs that sound very different from the previous ones, they are more experimental and I hope you like them🙂!
