Kamil) Hey Audreal Gillett, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

I grew up in a very musical family. From a very young age I started singing in choirs, and in school.

What is your creative process like?

My creative process is one with ebbs and flows, some days i don't feel the creativity as much so I just let it come to me naturally and try not to force the music out of me.

Your latest song is 'Memories'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?

Memories is one of those songs that felt like it took me 3 years to formulate the words I wanted to say. It’s a very cathartic and emotionally entangled song. It’s the product of my own personal healing journey from my long term relationship.

What was the most difficult challenge you faced?

The most difficult thing I have faced in my life would probably have to be moving to a new city alone after a pretty difficult and messy breakup. But I wouldn’t be who I am today if that had never happened.

What is the biggest mistake you have made within your career to this point?

The biggest mistake I have made In my music career is not believing in myself early on when I first starting to produce my music. Not finding mentors and not learning more about the technical skills that you need to be a producer.

How do you know when a work is finished?

How I gauge when a song is finished definitely changes. Sometimes I have to put a song on a metaphorical shelf and then come back and finish it. Other times it’s just this knowing m/ feeling I get. It’s hard because you’re always going to be your own biggest critic.

What are your long term goals?

Long term goals for myself would have to be continued growth and learning in my music career. Maybe one day forming a band again to perform all of my music.

Do you have a mentor or coach?

I don’t have a mentor or a coach but I have folks who inspire me to continue producing and making music. Those mentioned people tend to always be my peers.

What memorable responses have you had to your work?

Honorable mentions about my music that have stuck with me, people always say my music makes them feel something and feel every emotion that I convey in my lyrics.

Where is the best place in the world you’ve ever been to?

The best place that I have been would probably have to be Spain! So beautiful and I fell in love with the way of life there and the architecture and food!
