Kamil) Hey Izira Burley, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

I've been into music for as long as I can remember. Since I was a kid, I loved to sing. I remember the piano being one of the first instruments I started to play. In elementary school, music class was my absolute favorite, and I was always excited to go.

Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?

Absolutely! Musicians like Amy Lee, Freddie Mercury, Matt Bellamy, and Billie Eilish all inspire me. I love how they are so expressive in their craft and music. It's like im taken on a wonderful journey anytime I listen to their music.

Your latest track is 'I Only Have The World'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

This song is one I wrote one night out of the blue. I was listening to some classical music, and I was inspired instantly. This song was a long process to make because I wanted it to sound exactly how it sounded in my head. As well as being a perfectionist, I kept going over a lot of things lol. But I realized that I was being too hard on myself and that the song sounded amazing either way. It is always a learning and growing process, and that's one of the things I love about the creative process of making music.

Which skills have you gained that help you perform effectively as a musician?

I'd say that one skill that has helped me a lot is confidence. I used to be very shy growing up, and I would be too scared to sing or perform anywhere. That caused me to miss out on lots of opportunities. But in recent years, coming out of my shell has really helped me as a musician. Im always so happy and excited now to share my creation and talent with people everywhere! And being confident has presented me with many amazing opportunities!

What are your favorite musical genres, and are there any you dislike?

I love classical music, rock music, dark pop, and alternative a lot! Country music is not a favorite of mine.

Are there people who help you with the production of the songs?

Yes! After I released my debut single, Heartache" in 2021, which I produced after learning Garageband for a few months, I wanted to work with a more experienced producer. And I found producer Quiet Son, and I knew I immediately wanted to work with him! We have very similar styles, and his work is amazing. It's been wonderful working with him, and I plan to keep working with him for a long time!

What are your long-term goals?

As an artist, a big goal of mine is to be able to perform on big stages and share an experience with many people. I love going to concerts, and they're so magical and truly a life-changing experience. I love watching artists documentaries and learning about their stories, and im always inspired when I watch videos of them performing.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

For me, music is the way I can best express myself and my emotions. Music is so powerful, and it can really speak to a person. It's hard to find the words for how much I love music, it really speaks to my soul. Music has helped me through hard times, and it always still helps.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

I feel like the Internet has been a huge, and positive impact on the music business. It makes it much easier for people to connect and network, as well as presents many opportunities for artists around the world! It's easy to share music with people, and even create music. I work with my producer virtually online, and we live in different states. The process is always great and can be very fun.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans include releasing more music, making some cool music videos, performing live, accomplishing my goals, and embracing the amazing possibilities that will come my way!
