Kamil) Hey Ape Revolution Bell, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

Tnx for the chat. Well getting into music started, and I believe always starts, with two things, having some local heroes to look up to and being curious by nature. It is not easy expressing your self, so if you're lucky enough to find a medium grab the opportunity and enjoy the ride.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Well, if we can pass the legends, and think about who is active and fun now, I'd say Tim Minchin, Jovanotti...

Your latest song is 'Smile'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?

Smile is a short poem that has this really effective melody. It was developed out of nothing because of it. All the arrangement ideas in the bridge, female vocalist, samples, all of it was carefully cooked just to support this one sentence. Cos it simply works. So we brought american vocalist Kim Loverin to try to elevate the song even further with the solo. We were sitting in a room, she just turned the lights out and gave the solo that you hear in the song. Everybody got chills. I'll never forget that moment. We just knew something special was happening right there and then.

What are you focussing on right now?

Right now we are in the middle of promoting our first single, planning a new video and  we are always in the process of making new music.

What are you most proud of?

Right now, probably the fact that we just entered  one of the charts in Australia at spot number 3

What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?

Not letting the hard work part of creative process distract you from expression.

How do you structure your day?

Hm, I am a wrong guy to talk about this. I will spend all of my free time working on a certain idea. Sometimes there's more sometimes there's less of it, but all of it goes on thinking about how to get something become more than it is.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

Yes, kayaking!

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Sometimes. This morning it was Fly me to the moon and I can't explain why

What are your plans for the future?

Promote the hell out of these singles and than hit the road. Can't wait for the live shows.

sincerely SirJohn (author and singer)
