What first got you into music?

My grandpa taught me my first few chords on the guitar when I was 12 years old and I couldn't put it down after that.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Eric Church, hands down.

Your latest song is 'Changed Her Mind'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?

Changed Her Mind went through three different production sessions because of corrupt files. I recorded it two separate times in Berlin, Germany and did the final rendition Boise, ID. Each time, the song sounded different when complete.

What are you focussing on right now?

I'm focused on releasing the rest of this EP and I'm in the final stages of production of a standalone single I will release at the end of this year!

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

The most important thing to understand before writing music is to know who you are and the "why" behind your music.

What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?

I think everything outside of writing and playing music - the music business, marketing, advertising, social media etc. Sometimes it can be a devastating distraction from the love of the music. This is another reason why knowing who I am as an artist and why I do what I do is so important.

How do you structure your day?

This was one of my biggest challenges as I began pursuing music, as I am a full time Active Duty Soldier in the US Military. My entire workday is taken up with my job, and I have to make time in the evenings and weekends for my music career.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

Yes! I love flying. I'm a blackhawk pilot in the Army and I also love flying privately on my own time!

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Absolutely! It's honestly hard to narrow it down to specific songs. It's typically what I was listening to at the gym that morning or an original I've been writing.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to release a full EP by the end of Summer, another standalone single, and start gigging regularly around whichever Military post the Army sends me to. I have a few other songs on deck to begin production by the end of the year as well!
