Interview: Davide Anniballi - Simplicity

Davide Anniballi is a 57 year old Italian math teacher who has always been passionate about music. He lives in Pesaro, the city where Davide was born. He started playing the piano again a few years ago and, a year ago, almost for fun, he also started composing. In 12 months he composed 8 songs (all published on the main distribution platforms), of which 'Simplicity' is the last. Right now Davide Anniballi composing a new piece, always on the piano. Clearly, he would like to be heard by many people but he is not obsessed with it.

What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?

Induce emotions, thoughts, pleasure in the listener.

Your latest track is 'Simplicity'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

This is an instrumental only song and I composed it with the idea of a simple but, at the same time, effective structure. I would like this piece to convey a sense of lightness and peace.

Where do you see your musical career in 10 years?

I'd like to continue composing but staying behind the scenes.

Do you have a mentor or coach?

I am self-taught and I do everything at home.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

I am not a professional musician, I do another job but I will continue to apply myself humbly and, above all, I will continue to have fun.

How do you structure your week?

After work commitments and family affections I try to find time daily for music (listened to or played or composed)

What are your plans for the future?

No particular project other than continuing to compose music freely
