Interview: The Hell Beings - Wind Your Neck

The Hell Beings present their latest track, which they have titled 'Wind Your Neck'. It is a production that contains a lot of energy, which is able to carry us through this gray world and make us forget about what is happening around us. In an interview with The Hell Beings, I asked them about a few things that concern their music and their life and I got some interesting answers. I think it is worth getting acquainted with the content. You will also find links to Spotify.

What first got you into music

Going Underground, five stars, was a hit thanks to my fledgling purchase, Frigging in the Rigging made quite the impression too. At home it was Lizzy, Dylan but it was Pistols, Maiden, Sabbath and AC/DC that really rocked.

What do you think your role is in this world?

The eternal quest for moments of self worth. D I f Y do it 'for' yourself sums it up.

Your latest track is 'Wind Your Neck'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

Chambered body, zero temperatures in the studio overnight, resulting in mangled tuning next day. Unwittingly, it was raining jazz chords, proper posh like.

The song wrote itself, I am but a vessel dear chap. Immediate thrill jamming it with the boys, grotesquely drums says I

The phrase 'wind your neck in' might even make top ten sardonic of suggestions.

What is one message you would give to your fans

Free Palestine, pass it on.

How do you spend your time?

Wondering what the joke is, I want to laugh, I really do.

What are you most proud of?

Sweet Viola Mae, 4 years

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Oh Sees, Melvins, Flat-Worms, All Them Witches, Yob, not fussy obviously.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Every idea is valid, explored without prejudice. If I write a song in an hour, no reason why I can't do the same the next day, every day, record everything always.

Do you think that technology is improving lives?

The grass fails to be greener on the other side.

What are your plans for the future?

Planting acorns etc, paupers funeral, no fuss we be done.
