What first got you into music?

I heard some kid in class (ironically called Liam) sing, ‘today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you’. I knew I recognised that from somewhere so I googled the lyrics and found Wonderwall. Then Don’t Look Back in Anger, then Live Forever. And from there it went on. Oasis were my first love and I have no shame in admitting that. Although the Wonderwall part I’m afraid I cannot let slide.

What do you think your role is in this world?

To provide creatively through any means available to me. In this case, music. I have so much I want to create / share with the world and I cannot wait to do so.

Your latest track is 'Klondike Girl'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

It’s a song about not knowing where you stand romantically with someone and wracking your brains trying to figure that out. Which I was experiencing in spades at the time as anyone close to me will tell you. I’d say it was unusually effortless in how it came together. Which is something some of our best songs have in common. Second to that would be me singing (screeching) unusually high in the studio in an effort to emulate Queen near the end of the song. Sounds great though (which I’m sure was Pete’s doing).

What is one message you would give to your fans?

We love you.

How do you spend your time?

Mostly scanning / stacking cheese if we’re generalising but my free time is spent either listening to or writing songs. I also enjoy making TikToks for our band’s account which you should check out (@livewireband).

What are you most proud of?

Honestly this band and what we’ve achieved in such little time. It may not seem like much to most but I couldn’t be happier with where we’re at. And it’s seeming like the future is bright.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Manic Street Preachers. Since my dad’s friend recommended ‘The Holy Bible’ (which ironically I listen to religiously) a few years ago they’ve become idols of mine.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Keeping on top of socials, gigging consistently outside of our hometown, writing and releasing songs on a regular basis, anything to keep interactivity with our following at a satisfactory level and beyond.

Do you think that technology is improving lives?

Yes and no. There are endless pros and cons that make it near impossible to give a definitive answer to that. I’d say no specifically for young people though.

What are your plans for the future?

To keep releasing songs and gigging till we’re way past our prime. In the meantime, give us a follow and stay tuned!
