Kamil) Hey ear candy, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

Hey Kamil! Wicked to chat. I went to watch Oklahoma at my local theatre and I enjoyed it and all I remember was just singing the songs from the show over and over again. From that moment I started falling in love with music and it’s just snowballed me here! After many musical ventures, this is where I’m happiest, doing ear candy!

Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.

My favourite part of being a musician is getting to create. I love to create and experiment with sounds and putting stuff in my tunes. Just sitting in the studio sculpting the tracks is such an unreal experience and something I will never grow tired of. My least favourite part is probably the lack of sleep haha! I’m always working on something whether it's social media, content, promo, songwriting, the lot! So sometimes the late night stints are too much!

Your latest song is 'over you'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

over you came about from a writing session with a friend. We started out playing in some chords and then found the magic ones! Never looked back from there! Nothing unusual really happened during the process necessarily however about 20% of recording and takes from the demo ended up in the recording cos we liked them that much! Sometimes you can’t recreate the magic from the initial spark!

How do you differ from most other artists?

Without sounding too cliché, I think it’s the whole ear candy brand. I’m not just the artist that releases songs and plays shows like so many out there. I’m creating a whole experience to live through and to watch as I grow more and more. It’s like a story that I’m writing every day, with new chapters and twists and turns throughout every moment.

Where are you from and do you have a stable home or do you prefer travelling?

I am based in Ringwood in the UK. I do love to travel, like A LOT however I have such a wicked base where I am right now! All of my friends and family are nearby and I’ve got an ace setup for all my demos and recording. Not forgetting I’m in close proximity to all the wicked venues locally.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

In the boring way, it’s a sweet blend of indie pop and alternative. But in the fun way I like to tell people that it’s like dayglow had an inappropriate love child with panic! at the disco.

How do you nurture your own creativity?

This is something I do often struggle with. I have a job working with music as well as studying music as a degree so I’m always knee deep in it. I find I’m normally most creative after a couple of days break but also after watching music documentaries, films and performances. Something just sparks the ‘I need that now’ sort of emotion.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Right now I’d say Still Woozy or Boy Pablo! Slightly different sounds but with a similar sonic base. I adore what they do with music and I’d lose my mind if this opportunity arose.

Who's your ideal musician to collaborate with and why?

Can I say the same two again? Hahaha. I’ll keep this one more realistic; I’d love to sit and write and release a track with Ellie Dixon. Her creativity and musical prowess is so wicked and I think we’d make an ace tune together

What are your plans for the future?

I’ve already laid out my plan for this year, including over you I have 5 singles coming your way. I plan on playing a bunch of shows and hopefully a headline in the not too distant future. I would freak if I got on a support tour and got to travel the county, it’s one of the best parts of the job! Whatever happens it’s gonna be exciting and I’m so ready for the journey!
