Kamil) Hey Caroline Gustavsson, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?

Hi Kamil! Very nice to chat with you as well! This is a very big question indeed, I believe my strength is that I always wish for my music to inspire and move people in some way, being able to share genuine stories that can resonate with the listeners.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

Music can move me in a way that nothing else can. It can help me express my feelings, it can cheer me up, heal me, inspire me, it’s like an invisible friend that is always there for me. I also love to be in the creative flow when writing songs, and suddenly I’ve created something that didn’t exist an hour ago, I think it’s pretty amazing when you think about it.

Your latest track is 'Christmas Lights'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

Christmas Lights was actually written as a request at first, aiming for Christmas movie syncs. It was written online together with Joakim Dalqvist, a great writer/producer that I’ve worked with many times before. Nothing unusual that I can think of happened, but it’s always a bit funny writing about a cold and snowy Christmas in the middle of a hot, sunny July!

What was your feeling when you found out that your song would be featured in the film "A Christmas Exchange”?

It’s always a wonderful feeling when you get a song placed somewhere, and of course this was even more special since it was released with my voice on it! So the sync actually came before I released it as an artist.

Where did the idea to start Minda Songs come from?

Back in the days I used to call myself ”Minda” when I was performing, it’s a beautiful name I’ve always liked a lot. As for the publishing, I had been signed to a publisher for quite a while and decided I wanted to be independent, so then I started Minda Songs publishing.

How does it feel when your songs are played all over the world?

It’s really an amazing feeling when an artist or group releases a song of mine, it’s almost a bit unreal sometimes when you see them dancing in the video and I remember when it was written that day in the studio and suddenly millions of people have heard it.

Can you reveal the backstory on receiving gold & platinum awards?

My first ever gold award was actually my very first cut writing for other artists. It was placed with a Japanese boyband called KAT-TUN, written on the first day of my first songwriting camp for Asia! So that was a very good start on my songwriting journey.

Who's your ideal musician to collaborate with and why?

This is a very hard question! There are so many amazing people out there I’d love to work with, but I’d say Max Martin and his team. I really love his music and the way he’s able to make almost anything into a hit, I would love to take part of that creative process.

What is your favourite song to perform?

Right now I’d say it’s "Changes"

What are your plans for next year? Do you have any productions ready to be released?

My plan is to release more material next year! I have songs ready to go into production and am also thinking about recording acoustic versions of my songs as well, just me and my guitar!
