Our latest five-track salvo of prime new sounds tips off with Lost In The Manor’s very own HOO HAs, whose swaggering new single ‘Yankee’ is out on 30 October. Following is the kaleidoscopic Krautrock of Sweden’s Josefin Ohrn & The Liberation and their pulsing ‘Take Me Beyond’, also out on the 30th on Rocket Recordings. Staying on a Nordic (and vaguely psych) tip are The Migrant, a Danish act who drop ‘Silence’ on 13 November, and a delicious slab of folkish post-rock it is, too. Chilling things a little further is Martha Bean’s ambient autumnal newie, ‘A Better Man’, out 27 November, before we wrap it all up, as is only proper, with Balkanesque indie funk outfit Chavo’s ‘Don’t Wake The Dead’, taken from their LP of the same name, released last month on Batov Records.
