Overall, “Cops” is a wild ride that is a pleasure to listen to!

Makeup - 21st Century Blues

“21st Century Blues” by Makeup is a moody piece that will resonate with you. Featuring atypical instrumentation for rock with heavy orchestral sections and synths blended with the holy trinity of rock; guitars, bass and drums, Makeup has given this song an atmosphere that transcends a normal listening experience and fully immerses you in the music. Hearing this song playthrough is like going on a cathartic emotional journey that reaches a dizzyingly satisfying crescendo before climaxing. Paired with this craftsmanship is some of the most passionate and soulful singing I have ever heard. Makeup has real talent for crafting music and we can’t wait to see what they put out next!

Something Moves - A Fraud

“A Fraud” by Something Moves is a song that is layered and whose lyrics cut deep. Opening on an ear-catching drumming and percussive arrangement that immediately demands your attention, “A Fraud” slowly mixes in the bass and guitars building the song up as it works towards a satisfying conclusion. The vocal performance on this track is simply excellent with Chris Briden’s passionate singing tugging at your heartstrings. At some point during the middle of the song, I was hit by the realisation that I should be taking down notes to write this review because I noticed I wasn’t as I had completely disassociated from reality and lost myself in the ambience of the music as it held my complete and undivided attention. I’m sure your listening experience will be similar because “A Fraud” is an infectious mastercraft by an artist who writes for the sheer love of music, and your playlists will be made better and more interesting with this song in it!
