JLP - Us Against The World
Off with an explosive start that sets the tone for the track, ‘Us Against The World’ by JLP is a powerhouse of energy that is sure to rub off on you. Gritty guitar riffs and urgent, energetic drums characterise the track, and the vocals that are so full of emotion and power give the song a different look altogether. Nothing feels overdone in the song, and everything fits perfectly within the 3:54 minutes that is full of urgent energy. You might think of the 2000s rock scene on listening to this, particularly of Paramore, due to the raw energy that exists in both the bands.
Sleep Stage - Death in Those Arms
With drums layered with gritty guitars that make no attempt at subtlety, ‘Death in Those Arms’ by Sleep Stage is not one for quiet listening. The song has no flashy production, completely dependent on the energy lent by the guitars and drums, and of course, the intense, raspy vocals which will have you completely hooked. The song has a dense alt-rock soundscape that will seem to envelope you entirely. Although the song might seem packed on a loose listen, that isn’t really the case, because every element stands out and can be distinctly heard.
