MrGeorge is a passionate German singer and performer whose musical journey began in the DDR band LOTOS — and on his latest single, “Light In Your Eyes”, he pairs a 80s synth wave style beat with emotive, energetic vocals that, right from the start of the song, transport you to an ethereal landscape. The production is energetic with the swathes of reverb on the synths, and as the choruses come on, the vocals and the rest of the ensemble come together in a great crescendo that leaves you feeling positively charmed. Be it the soulful vocal rendition, or the slow, shuffling drums in the background paired with charming 90s sound effects, this track leaves no stone unturned in terms of leaving a lasting impression — and a jolly good one at that.
